What is royal jelly?
In the hive, bees feed their queen with a special diet they produce themselves: royal jelly. In Danish, we call it Gelé Royal or queen bee jelly. Unlike pollen, which is collected by the bees, royal jelly is made by the bees themselves. It is a milky-white substance produced during the breakdown of pollen.
